Peter Hunt – Partner
Career history includes European Director of Strategy & Commercial Development for the world’s largest independent leasing company, Manager of Corporate Strategy & Major Projects for Europe’s largest leasing company and CRM Programme Director at a FTSE-100 financial services business. Peter has broad strategy and commercial experience, including early stage management of an international asset finance business and many market development initiatives. A regular columnist in Leasing Life, Peter also has professional qualifications in marketing and market research.

Richard Guilbert – Partner
An experienced general manager and chartered accountant, Richard’s career includes senior European roles with international leasing companies, one of which involved the setting up and running of a European financing joint venture with a major global IT manufacturer. More recently, he was COO of an innovative vendor leasing services/software company operating in the US and Europe. Richard has broad leadership experience covering strategy development, financial management, M&A, operational restructuring, international vendor programmes and business start-ups.

George Tonks – Partner
A chartered accountant with extensive experience across the whole of the leasing market, including the UK’s largest leasing transaction, leasing company acquisitions and disposals, and acting as an expert witness. George is actively involved in the training programmes of the Finance & Leasing Association and Leasing Life, and works with the FLA in developing technical policy decisions and negotiations with regulatory bodies.

Richard is a highly experienced marketer and market researcher, with particular expertise in the financial services and ICT sectors. Having worked for major financial services businesses and as the director of a number of management and market research consultancies, Richard’s deep knowledge lets us offer a wide range of insightful research, intelligence and forecasting capabilities. Of particular relevance to many leasing companies, Richard has considerable expertise in researching and analysing the ICT and SME markets.

Mike Roberts – Partner
A highly experience strategic marketer, Mike has held senior roles including European Marketing Director and Strategic Marketing Leader within major international leasing businesses. Mike has broad commercial experience on a pan-European basis in both the vendor programs and the direct finance market, including the development of new markets and products, the implementation of channel strategies, the development of strategic marketing plans and customer relationship management. Mike has built and managed successful marketing teams across Europe.

Chris Boobyer – Partner
Formerly Director of Strategy and Planning for one of the UK’s largest banking operations, Chris brings vast experience and strengthens our ability to operate with decision-makers at the highest level. With over 30 years in the asset finance industry, Chris has held board appointments as CFO, Sales & Marketing Director and Managing Director of Structured Asset Finance, as well as Supervisory Board Chairman of a German bank. He was a Board Member of the UK Finance & Leasing Association and chair of its Asset Finance Division. He has led several domestic and international acquisitions, strategic alliances and JVs, and delivered record results for one of the largest sales teams in the asset finance industry.

Paresh Mashru – Advisor
Spent 26 years at Deloitte (previously Andersen’s), where he created a global Financial Institutions business from concept, focussing on M&A, structured debt/securitisation and leasing. He has extensive experience of advising senior management teams of financial institutions within the UK, Europe, USA, Japan and South Asia. His specific expertise covered M&A, Structured Finance, Transaction Services, Risk Management & Control, Litigation Support/Forensic and Audit/Assurance/Regulatory.
Paresh is also Chairman of the VRL Knowledgebank Advisory Board and Advisory Board Member of LMN Capital, a specialist US Insurance M&A boutique. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences, in particular related to strategy and M&A.

John Grimmett – Adviser, Central & Eastern Europe
With 30 years on-the-ground experience, John has grown and advised leasing companies across most CEE markets. He has overseen the Basel II implementation programme for one of the region’s largest leasing groups, operating on a pan-regional basis, and has been actively involved in marketing, new product development, risk and operational management in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia and Hungary. John has significant M&A experience, including the acquisition of a Russian bank and due diligence on a Russian leasing company followed by board role.

A former General Manager of a Pan European Captive leasing operation, Brian has had extensive experience of all aspects of managing and driving leasing operations across Europe. He has overseen the start up of new operations & companies, the disposal of portfolios and leasing companies and the securitisation of leased assets. Recently he has been leading a Change management initiative and managing the restructuring of a leasing operation in a European country.
